Differential Dispersion Technology
These DD6 speakers utilise Martin Audio’s differential dispersion technology which is why they achieve such a consistent frequency response. Upon hiring, you will notice the SPL is more consistent over the audience too; this is due to the 3D dispersion pattern of the high frequency horn. Gone are the concerts where the usual X° × Y° type horns produce high outputs up close but decrease over a distance.
The horizontal coverage of the horn has a short-throw of 120°, narrowing to 90° as the coverage develops. The vertical coverage of the horn is 60° achieving greater output above the horizontal central plane. This combination of the horn’s horizontal and vertical coverage creates an output that is more focused in the higher frequencies as the throw distance increases.
